About Us
Ilaamee Ministry
ILAAMEE is a Christ-centered ministry called to bring spiritual, social, and cultural renewal to Ethiopia and beyond. Its core mission is to proclaim the message of reconciliation with God, reconciliation with one another and with creation itself, restoring hope and healing to people, churches, and nations. In the Book of Deuteronomy, God often says, “Hear… O Israel”, calling His people to listen and obey. In the same spirit, ILAAMEE is God’s call to His people today an urging them to return to Him, hear His voice, and walk in obedience.
Founded fifteen years ago in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, its purpose was and continues to be to bring transformation to all aspect of life. Rooted deeply in repentance centered teaching and the ministry of healing and reconciliation, ILAAMEE fosters unity among evangelical churches, helping restore relationships, strengthen collaboration, and rebuild peace Christian impact in the society.
Known widely for its work of reconciliation, restoration, and cultural relevance, ILAAMEE partners with various churches, ministries, and leaders across denominations, influencing generation through creative approaches that speak to the heart, mind, and through the culture and tradition of the people it serves.
Why Ilaamee?
ILAAMEE emerged as a response to the spiritual, social, and cultural challenges affecting the Church in Ethiopia. For many years, churches were divided along denominational lines. This division weakened the witness of the Gospel, hindered collaboration, and contributed to spiritual, economic, and political instability in society. The Church meant to be the foundation for the work of God’s Kingdom had drifted from its core mission of bringing the Gospel to the lost and transforming society.
Through ILAAMEE, God restored the message of repentance and reconciliation to both the Church and the nation. The ministry also put out effort to address the broken relationship between people and God’s creation. Human rebellion damaged the environment, and ILAAMEE became a voice calling people back to stewardship and care for environment.
The ministry confronted the theological literacy gaps in the church, the limitations placed on Christian creativity, and the urgent and timely need for unity among evangelical believers and churches, ILAAMEE began as a movement of repentance, healing, and renewal and continued to date. The ministry seeks to bring hope, transformation, and restoration to nations.

1. Hope for the hopeless
At the heart of ILAAMEE is a deep commitment to bring hope where despair has taken root. We stand on the promise of Ezra 10:2—“…There is still hope.”
2. Fervent prayer and obedience
Everything we do is grounded in seeking God’s voice, interceding for our people, and responding in obedience. “Hear, O Israel…” (Deut. 6:4)
3. Reconciliation
ILAAMEE works to restore broken relationships—between people and God, within families, between churches, and across communities. (Matthew 5:23–24)
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and they remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”
4. Unity in the body of christ
We are dedicated to building bridges across denominations, fostering true fellowship and unity among believers. (Ephesians 4:3)
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
5. Generational impact
We invest in children and youth, believing they are the builders of a renewed future. (Proverbs 22:6)
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Walk with Ilaamee in prayer and service as God brings reconciliation, restoration, and hope to Ethiopia and beyond.
